# About Baby Brain

Baby Brain is a baby log for feeds, nappies, sleep, medicine, weight, temperature, milestones and food. It works in the browser on any phone, it is free on one of them, and everything in it is encrypted on the phone before it goes anywhere.

## Who makes it

Me, [Allan Corbett](https://superallan.com/). One person in Edinburgh, with a small child and an extremely complete nappy log. There is no company behind it, no investors and no team. I built it for the two of us, when every other option wanted an account, a subscription and a good look at our data, and it is named after the condition that made us need it.

## What it is, and what it isn't

It is a log. You tap what happened and it writes it down, so at 3am you can see when the last bottle was without waking the person who knows. It is not advice: no percentiles, no sleep predictions, no red flags. It logs one baby at a time, it isn't in the App Store, and there are no photos or baby book. ## How it is paid for

Logging on one phone costs nothing and always will. The only thing with a running cost is the relay that carries your encrypted entries between phones, so that is the only thing for sale: £2, once, for every phone in the house. There are no ads, no tracking and no analytics, and nothing about your baby is sold, because I can't read it. [The price page](https://usebabybrain.app/buy) has the detail.

## Why I can't read your log

The sync code you put on each phone is the encryption key. It never reaches my server, so what I store is noise, deleted 30 days after it arrives. There is no account and no email address on file, which also means I can't get a lost code back for you. [The privacy page](https://usebabybrain.app/privacy) says exactly what I hold.
