The terms.
I'm Allan Corbett, one person in Edinburgh. This is the agreement between you and me, under Scots law, written the way I'd explain it out loud. I'm not a lawyer, which you may have gathered.
What you're buying
£2 buys a licence that doesn't expire. If I ever stop running the relay, your data stays on your phones and syncing just stops. Nothing gets held hostage.
Refunds
Email me within 14 days and I'll refund the £2, no questions. After that I'll still read the email and probably say yes. Your UK consumer rights apply on top of this regardless.
What you can expect from me
- No ads, no upsells, no "you haven't logged in a while" emails.
- If I shut it down, 30 days' notice. Export is already there, any time, without asking me.
- Best effort on keeping it up. It's £2 and I'm one person, so there's no uptime guarantee behind that.
- The relay keeps each change for 30 days and then deletes it. See the privacy page.
What I can't promise
- That it's fit for medical decisions. It isn't. It's a log, not advice, and it doesn't know anything about your baby.
- That your phone won't fail, or that clearing your browser data won't take your entries with it. Export occasionally.
- That every browser behaves. I support current Safari, Chrome and Firefox on iOS and Android.
- That I can get your data back. I hold encrypted entries I can't read, which is the deal you're making, and I think it's the right one.
Fair use
Use the relay for your own baby data from your own devices. Don't use it as free file storage, don't scrape it, and don't try to knock it over. There's no ops team, there's me, and I'm also up at 3am.
Liability
As far as the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect or knock-on losses. Nothing here limits the things that legally can't be limited, like death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Changes
If these change, I'll update this page and date it. Anything significant gets a note on the homepage.
